How can I get an appointment with Dr Sahad?
Appointments can be made by either ringing the clinics or faxing a referral from your doctor .
Dr.Sahad also encourages referring GPs to contact his Rooms or talk to him directly (especially after-hours and over weekends) to organize urgent appointments.
What should I bring to the consultation?
You should bring the following:
- All CT or MRI or PET scans and results of blood tests if available.
- If your GP has provided a Referral letter, please give the same to Receptionist on arrival if your GP/specialist has not faxed the referral already to Dr.Sahad.
- Medicare card, DVA card or Health insurance card as applicable.
- List of your medications and allergies if known.
- Bring Discharge Letter from Hospital (If applicable).
How much I need to pay for the consult?
It actually depends on the complexity of the medical condition and can be confirmed with the clinic once you got a confirmed booking. Please see the Billing details for more information.
Do I need to pay to consult Dr Sahad if I am admitted to the Private hospital?
As we participate in the No Gap policy,you don’t need to pay anything for any consultation or treatment as an inpatient and also for any treatments at Chemotherapy Day unit provided you have appropriate private health cover.
What should I do if I have any Emergency medical condition?
You need to ring the Ambulance(triple zero) and will be initially assessed and treated at the Base hospital .You can then be transferred to the private hospital once you are assessed appropriate for the transfer by the treating medical team.
